First Day of School Procedures
- Class assignments will be posted in front of the school on August 15, 2025.
- The first day of school is Monday, August 18, 2025.
- Students enter the school through the gate on 79th Street between the admin building and cafeteria.
- The gate opens at 7:35AM. Please do not drop off students prior to 7:35AM as there is no supervision before that time.
- The gate will be locked at 8:00AM. Students arriving late should enter through the main building’s front entrance.
- A warning bell rings at 8:00AM to signal students to line up; school begins at 8:05AM.
- Students not in attendance on the first day of school may have their seat forfeited to another student if a waiting list for the grade level exists.
- On the first day of school only, parents/guardians may accompany students onto the yard. Teachers will be stationed on the yard with identifying signs. Adult staff will be circulating on the yard to assist students with finding their class line.
- Teachers will escort the class to the classroom at 8:05AM. Parents, please do not go to your child’s classroom. First day nerves and anxiety are normal and expected (from students AND parents!) – please trust that our veteran staff members are prepared to respond appropriately to these situations. We promise your child will be well cared for, and will be learning and having fun in no time!

- Dismissal for Tk-2nd grade will be on 79th Street between the admin building and cafeteria at 2:05pm.
- Dismissal for 3rd graders will be on 79th Street between the main building and the basketball court at 2:05pm
- Dismissal for 4th & 5th graders will be on 79th Street between the admin building and cafeteria at 2:25pm.
- Dismissal for 6th-8th graders will be on 79th Street between the main building and the basketball court at 2:25pm.
Primer día de Procedimientos de la Escuela
- Las tareas de clase se publicarán frente a la escuela el 15 de agosto de 2025.
- El primer día de clases es el lunes 18 de agosto de 2025.
- Los estudiantes ingresan a la escuela por la puerta ubicada en la calle 79, entre el edificio administrativo y la cafetería.
- La puerta abre a las 7:35 a. m. Por favor, no deje a los estudiantes antes de las 7:35 a. m., ya que no hay supervisión antes de esa hora.
- La puerta se cerrará a las 8:00 a. m. Los estudiantes que lleguen tarde deben ingresar por la entrada principal del edificio.
- Una campana de advertencia suena a las 8:00 a. m. para indicarles a los estudiantes que se formen en fila; las clases comienzan a las 8:05 a. m.
- Los estudiantes que no asistan el primer día de clases podrían perder su asiento si existe una lista de espera para el grado.
- Solo el primer día de clases, los padres/tutores pueden acompañar a los estudiantes al patio. Habrá maestros en el patio con letreros de identificación. El personal adulto estará circulando por el patio para ayudar a los estudiantes a encontrar su fila.
- Los maestros acompañarán a la clase al aula a las 8:05 a. m. Padres, por favor, no vayan al aula de su hijo/a. Los nervios y la ansiedad del primer día son normales y esperados (¡tanto por parte de los estudiantes como de los padres!). Confíen en que nuestro personal veterano está preparado para responder adecuadamente a estas situaciones. ¡Les prometemos que su hijo/a estará bien cuidado/a y que aprenderá y se divertirá enseguida!

- La salida para los grados Tk-2 será en la calle 79 entre el edificio administrativo y la cafetería a las 2:05 p.m.
- La salida para los estudiantes de tercer grado será en la calle 79 entre el edificio principal y la cancha de baloncesto a las 2:05 p.m.
- La salida para los alumnos de 4.º y 5.º grado será por la calle 79, entre el edificio administrativo y la cafetería, a las 2:25.
- La salida para los alumnos de 6.º a 8.º grado será por la calle 79, entre el edificio principal y la cancha de baloncesto, a las 2:25.
